This page collects common Otterflow questions and points to the full chapter for each topic. For an error or activation failure, go to Troubleshooting.

I cannot sign in, or my quota is insufficient

Check that your network can reach Otterflow. If access is restricted in your region, configure a proxy and try again. Check remaining quota and usage trends in Account and billing.

How do I switch AI models or add my own?

Open Settings → Model services. Enable a built-in model or add a custom model with its model ID, API key, endpoint, context window, and protocol. See Model services.

The Word add-in will not install or is missing

Use Word 2022 or later, or Microsoft 365. Enable the capability only after the compatibility check succeeds; the installed add-in is called FlowaveWord and appears on Word’s Home tab. See Word integration and Troubleshooting.

LaTeX compilation failed

Confirm that the LaTeX capability is enabled and that the local component completed its first download and startup. Then inspect the project source and compilation message. See LaTeX editing and local compilation.

The network is slow or unavailable

Configure a system or custom proxy in Settings. The proxy page displays current connection state and stores entries locally. See General, notifications, proxy, and appearance.

I do not receive notifications

Check the master notification switch, notification level, and individual category switches. Send a test notification, then check your operating system’s Focus or Do Not Disturb mode.

How do I change the interface language?

Open Settings → General and choose Chinese or English. The change applies immediately.

Where are my files stored?

Files are stored in the workspace folder you created or opened. Removing a workspace from Recents only removes the list entry; it does not delete files on disk. See Projects and workspaces.

Can I add information while AI is responding?

Yes. Send another message using Queue to wait for the reply, or Guide to steer generation at its next safe boundary. See AI writing.
